Meet Matt Toth

Estimator II

As an estimator, I review drawings, project manuals, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for a given scope of work. This involves creating detailed scope sheets and communicating with potential subcontractors to solicit competitive pricing. Throughout the estimating process, I coordinate with multiple departments, starting with sales to understand the opportunity and ending with operations, who I hand off all relevant project information to for execution. What I enjoy most about this work, though it’s a sentiment many in construction would share, is the unique set of challenges each project and bid presents. There’s real satisfaction in overcoming those challenges and winning the work, and it’s equally rewarding to see a successful project through to completion knowing I contributed to it.
