Business Development Manager – Mid-Atlantic Region
Business Development- What I enjoy most about my position is the opportunity to meet and build relationships with the owners and decision makers behind the projects. I enjoy learning about their vision and then having the opportunity to be part of bringing that vision to reality. There is something very rewarding about seeing an important project go from an idea and a conversation to an actual facility that will have an impact on the school, organization and/or community.
Years at SCG Fields: 1 Year, 9 Months
Industry Experience: 10 Years
Education: Shepherd University
What project are you most proud of working on, and why? Vermont Academy – The project I have enjoyed the most so far is a project that is still in progress. Being relatively new to the company, I chose this project because of the experience I have gained, the people I have had the opportunity to meet, and the relationships I have been able to build throughout the process. What has been especially rewarding is seeing how doing the right thing, staying persistent, and building trust can create opportunities. This project is a great example of that even though SCG was not initially the school’s preferred option, we continued to do the right things, provide value, and demonstrate why we were the right choice for the project. For me, the project has reinforced that relationships, integrity, and persistence matter. It has given me the opportunity to meet new people, learn more about the industry, and see firsthand how the work we put in can ultimately lead to being selected for an opportunity—even when we may not have been the obvious first choice.
